Trump’s disgraceful tantrum

Trump was angry with Zelenskyy because he wouldn’t give him what he wanted. So he threw a tantrum. Trump wants the USA to have access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals. He thinks that if the USA is in Ukraine mining these minerals, then Russia won’t invade.

Russia breaks agreements

The problem is that Russia breaks its agreements. It promised not to invade Ukraine when Ukraine handed over nuclear warheads. Russia later invaded Crimea breaking this agreement. Russia then promised no further action against Ukraine. In 2022 it invaded Ukraine again.

Trump thinks that Putin won’t violate any agreement made while he is president. But what about in 4 years when he is not president? Ukraine can’t simply wait until Trump isn’t president any more. Ukraine wants permanent peace not temporary peace.

So Russia cannot be trusted. It makes agreements, but doesn’t keep them.

Russia started the war not Ukraine

Russia wasn’t happy with the pro-western government in Ukraine. So it invented a pretext for invasion: It said there were nazis in Ukraine. Then it bombed residential towers killing civilians. How did they know there were nazis living there? Unless in their opinion every Ukrainian is a nazi. Ridiculous. Russia wants a pro-Russian Ukraine government. Russia wants its federation to equal the former Soviet Union. There are no free elections in Russia. Every major opposition leader is killed or imprisoned. Putin and Medvedev simply trade places. Zelenskyy was elected president by a free election. Zelenskyy is opposed to Putin because Putin breaks his agreements and cannot be trusted.

The American position

Biden to his credit, supplied weapons to Ukraine so it could fight effectively against Russia. Trump is seeking recompense from Ukraine for the supplies already sent. Trump wants access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals. Putin doesn’t oppose this because he doesn’t think the USA will stand in his way. Trump doesn’t want war with Russia. Trump is trying to frame Ukraine as the bad actor. Blaming Ukraine for starting the war. How did Ukraine start the war? By being pro-western. So a western country is blaming Ukraine for wanting closer links with the western countries. Ridiculous.

The current American position seems to be that Ukraine should be so grateful for its support, that it gratefully allows the USA access to its minerals. But what Ukraine wants is freedom from Russian control. Ukraine wants the USA to be its ally so as to deter Russia from future invasion. If the USA doesn’t do this, then Ukraine might as well keep fighting while it is still free.

The disgraceful Whitehouse tantrum

I am not upset about the fact that Trump did this to Zelenskyy. I am upset that the President of the USA who invited the President of another country to visit, treated that President so badly. Public brawling. Ukraine is allowed to want what it wants, just as Americas is allowed to want what it wants. If Trump the businessman entered into a business agreement with another business, and that business broke the agreement, would he still do business with that business? I don’t think so. Yet he expects Ukraine to enter into an agreement with Russia who have already shown they break agreements? Ridiculous and hypocritical.

Trump thinks that the ocean protects the USA from the Ukraine – Russian war. What if Russia wins the war? No more freedom in Ukraine. Russia is emboldened to invade another country. And so on until it sends its missiles over the ocean. The USA will regret Trump’s tantrum. And Vance’s interference.

Vance’s stupidity

Vice-President Vance told President Zelenskyy that Ukraine has manpower problems. Did he think Zelenskyy didn’t know that? Stupid. Vance then stated that Ukraine conducted propaganda visits with USA politicians taking them to various war affected areas in Ukraine. Stupid. How did those areas become affected? Is Vance saying Ukraine destroyed itself so it could accuse Russia? Ridiculous. Vance should have kept his mouth shut. Trump doesn’t need his help to have a tantrum.

Ending the war

The war will end when either Russia wants to stop or Ukraine is defeated or Ukraine wins. Even if Ukraine wins this war, it still needs a deterrent to stop the next war. Russia will regroup and try again. Ukraine is not going to agree to any ceasefire unless guarantees are given sufficient to stop Russia from invading in the future. This could be a military alliance or providing Ukraine with nuclear weapons and the means to use them. Then Russia will know that if it breaks the agreement again, it will be at war with Ukraine and others. Or it will know that Ukraine is able to strike Russia with massive consequences.

Trump and Vance are isolating the USA

A result of Trump and Vance’s tantrum is that other countries will be wary of accepting support from America and will look elsewhere for help. The USA will be frozen out and lose its influence. Other countries in which the USA has military assets, will ask or tell the USA to remove them. The expectation is now that any foreign leader that visits the Whitehouse from a country that is receiving support from the USA, is liable to be humiliated and denigrated by the Trump – Vance tag team. So best to not be supported by the USA. Eventually the USA will find itself in a position where it needs support from other countries. Those countries will then demand resources from the USA. Trump and Vance have started the USA down a slippery slope that will lead to humiliation and disaster.

Humiliation and disrespect for Trump and Vance

God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, so shall he reap. Trump and Vance have sowed humiliation and disrespect for a world leader, so that is what is in store for Trump and Vance. God is in control of His world and He raises up kings and puts down kings. God will deal with Trump and Vance.
